BANDSAW BLADE NAME: SGLB - TOOTH TYPE: M42

The SGLB is Amada's best-selling bandsaw blade, and the most versatile. SGLB was designed to cover a broad range of cutting applications and to provide maximum efficiency in sawing wear-resistant tool steels. The blade's tough M-42 cobalt edge resists heat and abrasion, while the varied pitch tooth form expands the ranges of sizes and shapes that can be sawed successfully without changing blades.

BANDSAW BLADE NAME: DUOS - TOOTH TYPE: M42 Hi-Lo

The DUOS bandsaw blade has been exclusively designed for light-duty band sawing machines to cover a wide range of cutting applications. No break-in procedure is necessary, and a positive rake angle enhances cutting performance in both solid and profile cutting. The DUOS uses two different tooth and set configurations. The design prevents teeth stripping and/or chipping when cutting profiles, whilst expanding the application to include solid materials, and virtually eliminating the problem of the operator selecting the incorrect blade/tooth pitch.

BANDSAW BLADE NAME: PROTECTOR - TOOTH TYPE: M42

Exclusively for structural steel applications, the M42 tooth has 'PROTECTOR' added to the back face of the tooth tip. This prevents excessive cutting and stops continuous chipping from occurring. The strong tooth profile endures impacts caused during intermittent cutting, and the broaching style set pattern is designed to eliminate pinching, therefore preventing the blade from binding in the cut. No break-in procedure is necessary.

BANDSAW BLADE NAME: PROTEC - TOOTH TYPE: M31

Exclusively for structural steel applications, the Protec has a Matrix tooth which absorbs shock efficiently during intermittent cutting. Additionally the blade has 'PROTECTOR' added to the back face of the tooth tip. This prevents excessive cutting and stops continuous chipping from occurring. The strong tooth profile endures impacts caused during intermittent cutting, and the broaching style set pattern is designed to eliminate pinching, therefore preventing the blade from binding in the cut. No break-in procedure is necessary.

BANDSAW BLADE NAME: COBALT8 - TOOTH TYPE: M42

COBALT8 is an economical bi-metal blade, ideal for cutting mild steel and structural steel. The chip curler tooth is designed to improve swarf removal, thus reducing stress on the blade tooth, and thereby increasing blade life. COBALT8 uses a set pattern which significantly reduces noise and vibration when compared with a conventional blade, further enhancing cutting performance.

BANDSAW BLADE NAME: SHL/G - TOOTH TYPE: M42

The patented Hi-Lo blade features a high and low teeth height design and a 15-degree rake angle, and is ideal for cutting hard steels. The advantages of the SHL lie in its kerf dispersed type tooth, which reduces cutting resistance, coupled with high heat and wear resistance. This leads to faster, straighter cutting and longer blade life on difficult materials.

BANDSAW BLADE NAME: MHL - TOOTH TYPE: M71

With its special alloying technology, Magnum Hi-Lo achieves patented HRC70 tooth hardness. It maintains positive cutting action and outlasts other blades in production cutting of large diameter, work hardening steels and nickel-based super alloys. Like the SHL, the MHL features a high and low teeth height design and a 15-degree rake angle. The same advantages lie in its kerf dispersed type tooth, which reduces cutting resistance, coupled with high heat and wear resistance. This leads to faster, straighter cutting and longer blade life on difficult materials.

BLADE NAME: CHIP BREAKER - TOOTH TYPE: M42

The patented gullet design of the Chip Breaker means that reduced heat is generated at increased chip loads. This prevents scoring on the gullet surface, and there is reduced chip weld and backing fatigue. Higher cutting rates and increased blade life as a result of reduced tooth stripping and breaking, achieves the lowest possible cutting cost per square inch.

BLADE NAME: SMARTCUT - TOOTH TYPE: M42 and M71

The Smartcut blade is thinner than a conventional blade, and is designed for exclusive use with the range of Amada Pulse Cutting Saws. When sawing narrow parts from expensive metal bars or blocks, using Smartcut gives you twofold cost-saving benefits: reducing material waste, disposal cost and increasing parts yield per bar, resulting in additional profit.

BLADE NAME: MGLB - TOOTH TYPE: M31

The MGLB is best suited for cutting mild steel structural shapes, solids and bundles. The M31 tooth is resistant to shock and delivers long blade life.
